Househangout Checks Out the Lakes at Annecy in Gilbert, AZ
Well, this week's Tourin Tuesdays takes us to a new planned development in Gilbert, AZ called "The Lakes at Annecy." 
And we must say...we just loved this place!!! Now it may not be for everybody, as the designs are rather unique and eclectic...but from what we saw, they seem to fit all types of people and lifestyles.
The Lakes at Annecy, built by Trend Homes, are actually broken into Chalet at Annecy, Château at Annecy and Maison at Annecy. What makes these homes so unique is the way they have mixed the styles of two and three story homes with some floors looking like a standard box-shaped home and then the floor above might more resemble a loft...as the rooms are more long than wide. They are just a really unique design...something one may find more on the East Coast. All the homes boast some pretty neat stairwells, including the steel winding types. And although some are a bit steep, they do add a nice touch of class to the interior design. These homes are also very light and bright with lots of great windows.
There are several styles and colors to choose from depending on your taste. Probably the best words to describe them would be "fun and hip"...yet cozy! But don't think they are only for the younger crowd, as we saw a little bit of everyone there.
While visiting, we ran into a lady who had just purchased her home and was on a "model tour" to get some more decorating ideas. She said she loved it there, even though she works in North Scottsdale (which is about a 1 hour drive).
At the Lakes at Annecy Chalet, the entry level home is a 3 story, 2 bedroom, 2 bath with 1,024 square foot starting at $179,950 and they go up to a 3 story, 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath with 2,071 square foot for $239,950. The homes also have 2 car garages. And...Trend Homes is currently offering a $3,000 VISA gift card to anyone who closes before December 31, 2007!
Now the only thing the Lakes at Annecy are short of is "yard space", as there are no yards. So...this is why the beautifully landscaped two mile walkways, 3 fishing piers, 5 lakes, shaded armadas and BBQ's, 3 community pools, and Jacuzzis with private pool houses are so vital to the property. You still have plenty of opportunity to get out, meet your neighbors, and enjoy some beautiful views.
So if you're looking for something a little "different" that still feels like "home"....then check this place out. We don't think you'll be disappointed. And if you would like more information, we'll be happy to get it to you.
